The #PlasticsDataChallenge invited institutions, startups, companies and data scientists from around the globe to develop advanced solutions to be applied across plastic waste management and recycling value chains in South and Southeast Asia with the question: How might we use data to advance plastic waste management and the circular economy in South & Southeast Asia?

SweepSmart was selected as Semi-Finalist! SweepSmart’s Smart Waste Management App tracks waste and financial flows during waste collection and handling, creating insight into waste generation and operational KPIs, to manage waste operations and design better waste systems.

Going forward in the journey to end plastic pollution, the Semi-Finalists will participate in pilot-readiness program to develop and implement a pilot in South and Southeast Asia with support from leading experts, mentors and fellow innovators.
